Ingredients

·1 cup steel-cut oats
·4 cups water or milk
·1 tbsp brown sugar
·1/2 tsp cinnamon
·1/4 tsp salt
·1 tbsp butter
·Toppings: fresh berries, banana, nuts, honey

Instructions

1.Bring liquid to a boil in a heavy-bottomed pot.
2.Add oats and reduce heat to low.
3.Cook uncovered 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4.Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and butter.
5.Top with fruit, nuts, and a drizzle of honey.
6.Add more milk to reach desired consistency.
