Recipe

Ingredients

·8 cups beef broth
·8 oz rice noodles
·½ lb thinly sliced beef
·1 onion, halved
·2-inch ginger, sliced
·2 tbsp fish sauce
·1 tsp sugar
·1 cinnamon stick
·2 star anise
·Fresh basil, cilantro
·Bean sprouts, lime, chili, scallions, jalapeños...whatever you have around

Instructions

1.Char onion and ginger in a dry pan.
2.Add to broth with spices; simmer 20–30 minutes.
3.Cook noodles per package; drain.
4.Add fish sauce and sugar to broth.
5.Place noodles and raw beef in bowls.
6.Pour hot broth over to cook beef.
7.Top with herbs, sprouts, lime, and chili.

Pho is a chance to get really creative. It's rarely the same experience twice....and that's a good thing!
