·2 cups flour, 2 cups sugar, 3/4 cup Dutch cocoa
·2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt
·2 eggs, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 cup hot coffee
·1/2 cup vegetable oil, 2 tsp vanilla
·Ganache frosting: 2 cups dark chocolate, 1.5 cups heavy cream
1.Whisk all dry ingredients. Whisk wet ingredients separately.
2.Combine, beating until smooth. Batter will be thin.
3.Divide into three buttered 8-inch pans.
4.Bake at 350°F for 28-32 minutes.
5.Make ganache: pour hot cream over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth. Cool.
6.Whip cooled ganache until fluffy. Frost and stack layers.
