Ingredients

·2 lbs chicken thighs
·½ cup soy sauce
·⅓ cup vinegar
·6 cloves garlic, smashed
·2 bay leaves
·1 tsp black peppercorns
·1 cup water
·1 tbsp oil

Instructions

1.Combine all ingredients except oil; marinate 30 minutes (optional).
2.Heat oil; brown chicken on both sides.
3.Add marinade; bring to a simmer.
4.Cover and cook 25–30 minutes.
5.Uncover; reduce sauce until slightly thickened.
