·1 cup red lentils
·3 cups water
·1 onion, chopped
·2 cloves garlic, minced
·1 tsp turmeric
·1 tsp cumin
·1 tbsp butter or oil
·1 tsp salt
1.Rinse lentils; simmer with water and turmeric 20 min.
2.Heat butter; sauté onion and garlic.
3.Add cumin; cook 1 minute.
4.Stir into lentils; simmer 5–10 minutes.
5.Season and serve.
