·1.5 lbs ground lamb or beef for cottage pie
·1 onion, 3 carrots, 3 cloves garlic
·1 cup frozen peas
·2 tbsp tomato paste, 1 tbsp Worcestershire
·1 cup beef or lamb broth
·Fresh thyme and rosemary
·2 lbs Yukon Gold potatoes mashed with butter and cream
1.Brown meat and drain. Sauté vegetables in the same pan.
2.Add tomato paste, Worcestershire, broth, and herbs.
3.Simmer until thick, about 20 minutes.
4.Transfer to a baking dish. Top with piped mashed potatoes.
5.Broil until peaks are golden and filling bubbles at edges.
6.Rest 5 minutes before serving.
