The most underrated weeknight dinner. Ground beef in a tangy, slightly sweet tomato sauce piled onto a toasted brioche bun. Messy by design. Served with coleslaw on top if you are smart.

Ingredients

·1.5 lbs ground beef
·1 onion diced, 1 green pepper diced
·3 cloves garlic
·1 cup ketchup
·2 tbsp tomato paste
·2 tbsp brown sugar
·2 tbsp Worcestershire
·1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
·1 tsp mustard powder
·Salt and pepper
·4 brioche buns toasted

Instructions

1.Brown beef, breaking apart, season with salt and pepper.
2.Drain most fat, add onion and pepper, cook until soft.
3.Add garlic and tomato paste, cook 2 minutes.
4.Add ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, vinegar, and mustard.
5.Simmer 10-15 minutes until thick and glossy.
6.Pile onto toasted buns. Top with coleslaw.
