Ingredients

·2 cans San Marzano tomatoes
·1 large onion diced
·6 cloves garlic
·1/4 cup olive oil
·1 cup fresh basil
·2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
·1/2 cup heavy cream
·Salt and red pepper flakes

Instructions

1.Roast tomatoes, onion, and garlic with olive oil at 400°F for 40 minutes.
2.Transfer to a pot, add broth, bring to a simmer.
3.Add fresh basil and blend until very smooth.
4.Stir in cream over low heat. Season with salt and pepper flakes.
5.Serve with a swirl of cream and torn basil.
6.A grilled cheese dipped in this is a non-negotiable life experience.
